Hill College volleyball welcomes new coaches, student-athletes and facilities
Hill College returns seven student-athletes from last year’s team, as well as five incoming freshmen.
This year’s key players will include the entire team, and will continue to look for positive attitude, grit, and maximum effort.
The team will be joined by new assistant volleyball coach Haley Buard, an Arlington Bowie native, who also played volleyball collegiately at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Miss.
One other non-tangible addition to the volleyball program this season includes major facility upgrades to the Bob Bullock Sports Complex which includes a new gym floor, locker rooms, scoreboards, tile flooring, etc.
Hill College’s 2024 regular season officially begins Aug. 27 when the Rebels host Dallas College North Lake beginning at 6 p.m. in the Bob Bullock Sports Center.
Also, new this season, Hill College will host a Blue vs. Red scrimmage Aug. 9 beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Bob Bullock Sports Center. This is an inter-squad scrimmage where teammates will compete against each other showcasing their talents in preparation for both non-conference and conference play.
